Abstract: |
The fieldwork followed the methodology set out within the WSI (CA 2017). An archaeologist was present during intrusive groundworks comprising the stripping of topsoil and subsoil through Fields 1-7, within the 5-7m wide easement of the pipeline and works compound. An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in May 2017 during groundworks associated with the installation of a gas pipeline at Northwick Estate, Moreton–in-Marsh, Gloucestershire. Two undated ditches were identified in the western half of the pipeline and an undiagnostic struck flint was recovered from the plough soil. |
