An excavation located a substantial geological feature, three ditches, a metalled road surface, two pits, two gullies and a post hole. Finds were restricted to a very small assemblage of flint tools and flakes and pottery, spanning the period from the prehistoric/Romano-British period through to the 17th century AD. [Au(adp)]

A
A watching brief during excavations for a small development located a sandstone wall that survived to at least three courses in height. Deposits to either side were completely different in origin and reflected past use of the site. Only modern pottery and brick fragments were recovered. [Au(adp)]
