Digital Object Identifiers

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are persistent identifiers which can be used to consistently and accurately reference digital objects and/or content. Overview

Two archaeological features were noted during the archaeological works. These were both recorded as small, isolated pits, neither of which contained dating material.

The site archive comprises both physical and digital records. In total, this comprises 141 unique entries for archiving. Of these 107 are digital recordings comprising the digitised paper archive, registers and photographs. Site records comprise a total of 34 A4 paper sheets which contain the context, sample and finds data recorded on site as well as associated registers. This includes a total 4 context sheets, 1 photo register sheet, 1 primary drawing register sheet, 2 environmental sample sheets, 1 environmental sample register, and 23 site diary sheets and 1 map sheet. In addition to the A4 paper sheets, drawings are on 1 additional sheet of permatrace. In total, 96 high resolution photograph files were taken, of which 51 were included in the archive. All of the paper records have been digitised and imported into an excel database, and all digitally collected spatial recording has been cleaned and assembled.

Please note that while the HS2 sitecode found in the records included in this collection is 1N18UANBS, the correct one is 1N18UANAR.
