Overview
A variety of artefacts were collected during the archaeological monitoring from the surface of the topsoil, subsoil and natural geology. These finds were not associated with archaeological features or deposits and were recorded as unstratified finds.
The site archive comprises both physical and digital records. In total, this comprises unique 1,339 entries for archiving. Of these, 176 are recovered finds or archaeo-environmental samples, whilst 1,139 are digital recordings comprising the digitised paper archive, registers and photographs. Site records comprise a total of 24 A4 paper sheets which contain the context, sample and finds data recorded on site as well as associated registers. This includes 1 context/trench register sheet, 4 photo register sheets, 14 site diary sheets and 6 time log sheets. In addition to this 1,113 high resolution photograph files were taken, of which 768 were submitted to archive. All of the paper records have been digitised and imported into an excel database, and all digitally collected spatial recording has been cleaned and assembled.
