Distinctive FeaturesThis is an amphora which is assumed to have had an ovoid body. It has a thick accentuated everted rim. There is a ring in relief beneath it at the level of the upper attachment of the handles. The handles have one or two grooves, and the lower attachment is marked by a thumb impression (Laubenheimer, 1985). There are no complete examples known.See characteristics | ||
