Visual characteristicsThe fabric is not homogenous: Generally it is a hard fabric, close up light red (2.5YR 6/6) to reddish-yellow (5YR 6/6) in colour. Fabric A is very fine, with rare and very small reddish iron-oxide inclusions. Fabric B is a coarse fabric with moderate white and dark brown inclusions. |
PetrologyFabric A: quartz, mica, iron oxide, limestone, chert and heavy minerals. Fabric B: quartz, reactions rims of disolved limestone, muscovite, rare chert, volcanic rock inclusions. Roman Sauer |
