Digital Object Identifiers

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are persistent identifiers which can be used to consistently and accurately reference digital objects and/or content. The DOIs provide a way for the ADS resources to be cited in a similar fashion to traditional scholarly materials. More information on DOIs at the ADS can be found on our help page.

Visual characteristics

An orange maroon fabric with abundant grains of quartz.

The fabric is characterised by an iron-rich matrix and abundant well-sorted inclusions, mainly composed of quartz, but also with subordinate calcareous microfossils and rare heavy mineral grains. The coarser quartz grains (up to 0.6-1 mm across) are rounded in shape with opaque surfaces that are typical aeolian characteristics (Capelli, 2001). Claudio Capelli
