Overview
The Cow Cave CC16 archive includes physical and digital materials arising from the 2016 excavation and sampling in the cave. The digital archive includes copies of all materials related to the field phase of the investigation in 2016, together with reports arising from the field work and subsequent laboratory analysis. The archive comprises:
- The field book and finds book from the excavation
- Field plans and sections from the excavation
- Final drawn sections
- Data on sample columns and related survey points
- Gallery of photographs taken during the excavation, including those not used in project reports
- Annotated photographs used for recording survey points and preliminary assessment of stratigraphy away from main sections
- Interim and final reports arising from the investigation
- Complete survey data from the excavation
The physical archive from the excavation is being lodged at Torquay Museum and includes faunal material, charcoal, all flint possibly modified by man and some selected samples of lithological interest.
