Rectangular concrete-faced pillbox - faces E. [Possibly experimental?]. All concrete with internal blast walls. Rectangular - 2.5m x 4m. Single rifle size embrasure with slotted metal plate in short face; only room for one person to fire. Some spalling around embrasure.

Concrete bunker 12ft x 9ft overall. Some 4ft - 5ft 5ins is above ground and c.4ft below ground. Concrete about 1ft thick. Axis approx. NW-SE, with viewing aperture [embrasure] in SE wall. Entrance NW end of S wall - partially filled in (probably steps down with now missing steel door). Now surrounded by trees which would not have been there in 1940. Interior - 2 rooms with blast wall dividing.
[Recorder describes this as a 'hardened mortar OP which overlooks a firing impact area to SE with mortar firing positions to W of ridge. However, it may have been used as well for pre D-Day assault training as the embrasure has received a direct hit from an explosive missile].
