Pillbox [shown on German map of defences in East Kent].
(Source: Map 1940/08/08)
Rectangular brick building with a concrete base and concrete roof. The brickwork is 18ins thick. There are two embrasures high in the wall with the entrance, one on either side. These have metal frames as does the entrance. This has been classified as a 'pillbox (variant), although it might have been a store or shelter with a defence capability.
