Battery of 3 (2 from 1920s) 9.2in guns. Remains of battery command post (partially demolished) behind battery. Some remains of metal gun floors. Magazines filled in in 1990. Pillboxes each end, and behind, battery.

Coastal battery. Emplacements for 2 x 9.2in guns survive. The emplacements are in a reasonable condition. Four small, rectilinear ancillary buildings can be seen in the immediate area of the battery. Some of the original accommodation for the battery is also visible within the complex that is now HMP immediately to the E. [information from 1996 aerial photographs].
