Pre-fabricated small structure on cliff about 20ft above the beach. It is gradually being lost to erosion and vandalism.

Remains of a Stanton air raid shelter in a perilous position at the edge of a low cliff and subject to vandalism.

Structure of curved concrete beams, said to be a conversion of a Stanton shelter into a Ruck pillbox. Certainly an unusual, rare structure.

Type: Vandalism (Immediate) Detail: The structure is highly vulnerable to vandalism. Type: Coastal erosion (Medium Term) Detail: Structure on edge of cliffs. The later field record (July 2001) shows a great loss to this rare structure. By 4/2003 it had been further destroyed. |
