Hexagonal pillbox plotted from OS 1:2500 sheet. Faces SW.
(Source: Map 1956)
Hexagonal pillbox, a smallish version of a type 24. Concrete-faced, with brick anti-ricochet wall. Two embrasures, one each side of doorway, in rear face (E), and one embrasure in each of the forward faces. The embrasures are splayed to the inside. The pillbox faces slightly S of W enfilading the road. All the embrasures, other than those in the rear face, are bricked up. The doorway is open, but the pillbox entrance filled with palings and grass cuttings.
