Spigot mortar pedestal on the bank of a waterway. This is on the bank opposite the fortified windmill stump [see UORNs 2347 and 2348]. It is now almost completely buried, and is used as a bollard to tie up boats.

Defence grouping Eastern Command: II Corps Demolition Belt FI - Built as demolition belt formed entirely by the River Bure from Great Yarmouth to Ingworth. By 13 July 1940 19 bridges had been prepared for demolition (14 road, 5 railway). No pillboxes were ordered but Acle, Coltishall, and Aylsham were defended as nodal points (see relevant groups).
