Coastal battery site. Two gun houses for 4in naval guns. Also Bofors and AALMG. Placed on 'care and maintenance, January 1945. Some buildings survive as well as underground works. Defending pillboxes and spigot mortars which were manned by the local Home Guard. [see separate records].
