Hexagonal type 22 pillbox, made of breeze blocks with brick interior lining. 6 sides, each 8ft long. Entrance on S side: each of the other sides has an embrasure. Concrete roof. Interior concrete baffle wall with 'S33' inscribed on it. Walls 2ft thick.

Type 22 infantry pillbox. Concrete block construction. 'S33' stencilled on anti-ricochet wall. Principal face is NW, also W and N. Covers Weycroft Bridge, River Axe frontage. One of only two type 22 pillboxes on the S stretch of the Taunton Stop Line [the other is at Musbury/Colyton]. Both may have served as posts for bridge demolition parties as well as providing general defensive fire. Condition is good and stable.
