Type 26 pillbox, approx. 10ft square, with embrasures approx. 18ins x 7ins. The entrance, on the side away from the canal, is in the bank of the canal, has concrete sides to retain the bank and steps down into the pillbox. The entrance is partly filled by earth and debris making it impossible to gain entrance. Brick shuttering; concrete roof. The pillbox now is almost entirely overgrown with bushes, except the side on the edge of the canal towpath.

Location On the N towpath of the Kennet and Avon Canal, approx. 150-200 yards to the E of a road bridge over the canal. The road bridge is on the road which runs from the A363 Bradford on Avon to Trowbridge road, almost opposite the Beehive public house.

Detail: The pillbox is badly overgrown.
