Pillbox collapsed on to beach due to cliff erosion.
(Source: Field Visit 1995/08)
Concrete pillbox which has rolled down the cliffs owing to erosion.
(Source: Field Visit 2001/07/05)
Overturned pillbox lying on beach. Whether it was originally set at the head of the beach or has fallen from higher up on the cliffs is uncertain [probably the former]. It is of the medium machine gun type with concrete blocks set externally below the embrasures.
