Pillbox built on a raised elevation in a corner of a field. A hedge now surrounds the principal field of fire, i.e. the road from the W. From the siting it would appear to cover a roadblock on a sharp corner on the Dartmouth road at the 'Sportsman's Arms'.
(Source: Field Visit 1996/04/09)
Concrete pillbox [probably type 24]. In good condition, but overgrown at the rear.
(Source: Field Visit 1998/06/06)
Typical pillbox, clearly built to command the road from Dartmouth. It is on slightly higher ground than the road, and has a good view over it.
