Type 24 pillbox (No. A113 [?]); brick skinned (now largely broken away) over reinforced concrete. Has suffered severe blast damage on S wall: this provides a good example to illustrate the use of the reinforcement bars and the effectiveness of the blast wall protecting the N internal side of the pillbox. Roof generally intact. Forms part of the defensive line along the Uckfield - Ashurst railway protecting E approach to Crowborough and Jarvis Brook.
