Type 24 pillbox, with brick skin interior and exterior (exterior removed, interior intact). Excellent interior condition: exterior condition poor with most of brick skin removed. A111 stencilled on interior blast wall. Forms part of defensive line using Uckfield - Ashurst railway as a natural defensive position overlooking valley to E and defending the E approach to Jarvis Brook and Crowborough.
