Remarkable detached two-storey pillbox tower standing in grounds of public house close to children's play area. Doorways at each level on W side: these entrances are protected by embrasures. Upper and lower embrasures face the canal - S wall, two embrasures: W wall, two embrasures: E wall, one embrasure (upper level). Faced externally and internally with red brick, with concrete floors and roof. Possibly the brick is shuttering and disguises a concrete core.
