Pillbox shown on 1964 large-scale OS mapping (1:2500).

A pillbox [type 23], 1.87m x 1.84m internally, with outer open lobby, 1.36m x 1.84m internally. Walls, 394mm thick of two half-brick skins with concrete core and 3 precast concrete embrasures. Roof, reinforced concrete 300mm thick. The entrance to the lobby and from the lobby to the pillbox are only 450mm wide which seems very narrow. Dug into lower slopes of cliff. Faces SW. Interior access possible.

Type 23 pillbox of variant form. 3 embrasures. Steps down into pillbox. Brick lined interior. Open area to rear with brick walling but no AA mounting. Field of fire towards beach.
