Type FW3/22 pillbox, concrete-faced. The exterior blast wall at the entrance has fallen.

Type 22 pillbox of variant form, with covered guarded entrance and brick Y-shaped blast wall; bolts fitted below embrasures for vertical wood shelf supports. Wood shuttered interior and exterior. Situated on N side of Canal with field of fire S across Canal defending rail bridge. Identification no.63. 5 x medium embrasures and 1 x small entrance embrasure.

South East Command: Stop Line (Oare to Warehorne) - This stop line (known as Grid Line LG - LH - LI - WA) ran from Oare to Charing to Ashford to Warehorne. There were forward defences and roadblocks in the section from Oare to Charing, but, from Charing to Warehorne, pillboxes sited in depth and camouflaged.
