St Nicholas Priory, Exeter, 1971 (Exeter archive site 41)

Excavation by M.G.Griffiths, on the site of the church of St.Nicholas Priory, revealed two parallel east-west robber-trenches which produced 16th-century material. They probably represent the line of the 11th-century nave and the addition of aisles in the 13th century.
