Overview

This dataset contains the 'Archaeological Assessment' reports produced for the 37 settlements included in the Gloucestershire Extensive Urban Survey (EUS). This dataset does not cover the cities of Gloucester and Cirencester since they were identified by English Heritage as major historic towns.

All three phases of the projects were based on the use of secondary, published sources, and involved no fieldwork.

The Archaeological Assessment reports are presented here in PDF format. Maps from the reports are also available for download separately in JPG format and they have been resized to make for easier viewing on the Web.
