Description: This report provides the methodology and results of a preliminary audience research plan designed to assess how visitors interact with grave goods objects in different galleries and to inform the development of a grave goods trail. This report presents the results of audience research undertaken between the 6th of August 2018 until the 5th of September 2018 in British Museum galleries 50-51; galleries 63-64; gallery 24. Visitors' behaviour and responses to the exhibition were investigated through a combination of tracking and post-visit interviews. The research was commissioned by the AHRC-funded Grave Goods project.

British Museum grave goods trail - summative evaluation report Title: British Museum grave goods trail - summative evaluation report

Description: This summative evaluation plan was designed to assess the impact of the newly installed 'Death Memory Meaning' (DMM) labels on the interaction of visitors with grave goods in galleries 50 and 51 of the British Museum. This report is complementary to the preliminary audience research report from 2018. Research was undertaken between the 21st of June 2019 until the 1st of August 2019. Visitors' responses to the exhibition were investigated through a combination of 50 tracking, ethnographic observations and 15 semi-structured interviews. The research was commissioned by the AHRC-funded Grave Goods project.
