Digital Object Identifiers

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are persistent identifiers which can be used to consistently and accurately reference digital objects and/or content. The DOIs provide a way for the ADS resources to be cited in a similar fashion to traditional scholarly materials. More information on DOIs at the ADS can be found on our help page.

The EUS reports present a summary of the archaeological and historical evidence for the development of each place, as was known at the time when each report was compiled. Historical evidence in this context emphasises buildings and topography. The reports comprise a set of GIS-generated maps, with explanatory text and bibliography. They are not, of course, definitive, and two have already been revised to take account of new archaeological information received by the Hertfordshire Historic Environment Record.
