Digital Object Identifiers

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are persistent identifiers which can be used to consistently and accurately reference digital objects and/or content. Overview

The digital archive

Any use or quotation of information from the Stopes Palaeolithic Project digital archive should be cited as "Wenban-Smith, F.F 2004. Stopes Palaeolithic Project: Final Report. English Heritage / Archaeology Data Service".

The digital archive currently consists of the following resources:

  • Wenban-Smith, F. 2004: Stopes Palaeolithic Project. Final Report as submitted to English Heritage. The report consists of a main body of text with all figures and appendices available as separate downloads
  • The Digital Archive also includes a series of project maps providing detailed coverage of study areas and find-spots. These are augmented by the availability of a tabular summary of all findspots including NGR references.

Non-digital Archive and Publications

Hard copies of the report can be consulted at:

  • Dartford Library (local studies section), Central Park, Dartford
  • Kent County Council (Centre for Kentish Studies), Maidstone
  • National Museum and Galleries of Wales, Department of Archaeology and Numismatics, Cathays Park, Cardiff
