Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
The hoard was found in 1903/4 and consists of four ingots, six arm-rings, and a fragment of a seventh. Arguments are adduced for believing this hoard, and three others also from the Inishowen peninsula, to have been deposited by Viking raiders in the 920s/30s. A list of coin-dated hoards with Hiberno-Viking arm-rings and/or 'ring money' is included and two Norwegian hoards are relevant. | ||
