Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Reports that the present system of funding and concomitant legislation frequently involve archaeologists in professionally unsatisfactory `crisis' situations. The causes could be tackled both in the archaeological and political arenas. There is often a great deal of public support for high profile crisis situations, such as that at the Rose Theatre in 1989, and this could be used by archaeologists in campaigning for increased funding. |
