Abstract:
Two periods of timber buildings, beginning c AD 120, were followed by a stone fort of ?163, of which the HQ building, gates, and granaries (24, providing rations to 10 000 men for a year) have been examined. Even after reduction, 15 granaries remained. Conversion to use by a numerus of Tigris bargemen in late 3rd/early 4th century was followed by further alterations at end 4th.
