Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	At an open meeting convened by RESCUE to discuss the Stonehenge Master Plan, five speakers each gave a short presentation. David Thackray of the National Trust, which owns a substantial part of the World Heritage Site (WHS) surrounding Stonehenge, outlined the Trust's involvement in development of the WHS Management Plan and promotion of the Master Plan. One of the prime objectives of the latter is to reunify Stonehenge with its surrounding landscape. Issues relating to the proposed construction of a tunnel to accommodate the A303 are discussed, including funding sources and mitigation of the inevitable damage to some archaeological sites. LD
