Abstract:
Describes the method by which skeletons were recorded during excavation of the medieval graveyard of All Saints ad castra on Castle Hill, Cambridge, and gives some general observations on the nature and type of the burials. These had been cut through into underlying Iron Age, Roman and Saxon levels; a pre-Roman roundhouse of timber, Roman floors and a number of Saxo-Norman pits were recorded. LD
