Reports on the recent survey and reassesses documentation of the later medieval rebuilding of the western half of the nave. A new architectural history of the west end is proposed, and it is also suggested that the western towers date in part from the twelfth century, while the western porch and lower tower windows were added c 1340. | ||||||||
