Abstract:
TA 114667 etc. Four uniserial barbed points of "Maglemosian'' type have recently been found in the vicinity of Brandesburton, E Yorkshire. The points represent casual finds, from different localities, and no stratigraphic evidence for dating them is reported. No stone artefacts were found in association with them, although a flint assemblage found at Brigham - three miles to the north of Brandesburton - may belong to the same period. Although previously described as "Creswellian", this assemblage comprises distinctive microlithic types which suggest affinities with the "Maglemosian ' rather than "Creswellian" traditions. PAM
