Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
The broad pattern of distribution and density is presented on a grid map, based on a total of c 10,500 axes of which about 73% can be assigned to townland at least. The map confirms the expected concentration in Antrim-Derry-Down, with other high densities around Lough Gur, Killaloe (Clare), and Galway Bay. Both porcellanite and non-porcellanite axes will be included in the planned database of Irish stone axes. |
