Abstract:		 Preliminary report on the boat found in a bank of the River Usk and excavated using a temporary embankment and drainage pumps. It is flat-bottomed and double-ended, some 18m in length overall and 2.7m maximum beam, with towing mast set in the keelson. Last use was probably in later 19th century, but dendrodating may refine that estimate.
