The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 A chance discovery was made in 1987 of a one-person boat, originally c 3.73m long, showing unworn adze marks and traces of four-five different tool types. Details are given and a reconstruction offered; the felling date was AD 950-1000. Plant remains, if contemporary with the boat, indicate its use in flowing water. Pollen and diatoms were analysed and the 11th century archaeological context of the area is discussed (see also 89/1548).
