Abstract:		 Study the of crown height of molar teeth. Results indicate an approximately linear relationship between crown height and age. A closer relationship between age and crown height exists for the mandibular than the maxillary molars. Suggests that dental wear is a reliable ageing technique for most archaeological skeletal material. A nineteenth-century Dutch skeletal collection of known age at death were used in the research.
