Abstract:		 Report on the architectural survey and trial excavation of a ruined terraced house built after 1759. The house, which fronted onto a laneway, had an elaborate Georgian facade comprised of regularly coursed limestone blocks, five pilasters, seven segmental arched windows, and an entrance doorway bearing a moulded door-case. The discrete location for a house with such an elaborate facade is explained by its construction by a reasonably well-to-do Roman Catholic during the Penal Era.
