Summary of prize-winning entry in Kilkenny Archaeological Society's youth heritage project for 1996. This involved a survey of the current field boundaries on sixty farms in Conahy, Co Kilkenny, carried out by the pupils and teacher of St Colman's National School. Various features including drystone walls, stiles, ditches, gates, gateways and natural boundaries (such as rivers) were encountered in the survey and are briefly classified here. | |
