Reports an addition to the list of, rather rare, base-cruck houses, which has a firm date of construction of 1350 by virtue of dendrochronology. It is well preserved, retaining almost all its original roof, cross-frames, and some side walling. There are details of `The base-cruck truss and foliate boss' by John Crook (185-6) and `The tree-ring dating of Trees Cottage, Froxfield' by D W H Miles (186-91). | ||
