Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
A report on the analysis of porcelain compositions of fourteen samples from sherds recovered from the river bed near the site of the eighteenth century pottery at Isleworth, Middlesex, including an unglazed waster dated November 22, 1754 or 1756. The authors conclude that the Isleworth pottery produced a bone ash porcelain of a distinctive composition, and that the pottery appeared to have made an early experiment in porcelain production in the mid-1750s.
