Summary of two seasons' excavations at the site, where a presumed Bronze Age track produced a carbon date of c 3000 BC. The trackway, a Bronze Age pit and Iron Age ditch were overlain by a Dark Age timber building which produced some fifth-sixth century pot sherds. Ten coins were recovered, all but one dating from the fourth century. A plunge bath was re-examined and excavations extended in the region of the fourth century villa. AR | ||||||||||||||||
