Excavation in 1999 and 2002 at the site of the former Lion Brewery, St Thomas' Street, Oxford, revealed the fragmentary remains of a thirteenth-century building aligned parallel with the south side of St Thomas' Street. Associated made ground layers were banked up between the walls and a garden lay to the rear of the property.
