Abstract:
Excavation in 1999 and 2002 at the site of the former Lion Brewery, St Thomas' Street, Oxford, revealed the fragmentary remains of a thirteenth-century building aligned parallel with the south side of St Thomas' Street. Associated made ground layers were banked up between the walls and a garden lay to the rear of the property. The remains of other, probably contemporaneous, structures were also recorded in the southern area of the site and on the opposite street frontage. Separately authored contributions include
