Abstract:
At All Saints, High Street the first occupation, 14C-dated by charred grain to 9th century AD, was a ?farmyard, refenced in 10th century. There followed a furnace in a stone building which was later converted into a church, and several phases of church development. At Blackfriars some cloister details were examined. At Greyfriars the SW corner of the main cloister was seen but other trenches gave inconclusive evidence.
