Several important medieval features in 108-12 High Street were recorded by Buckler before demolition in 1872-3 and are described and illustrated here. They include the detached kitchen of Tackley's Inn, the hall and timber-framed front of Swan Inn (1469-72) and a 13th century stone hall with blank arcading.
