Abstract:		 A small excavation in advance of development at Oxford Academy in Littlemore, some 4 kilometres south-east of Oxford city centre, recorded an Anglo-Saxon sunken-featured building containing pottery of both early Saxon and Roman date. Other finds were sparse but included a fragment of a probable pin-beater, charred plant remains and some animal bone. A nearby pit was probably associated with the building, but there were no other indications of settlement. A segmented gully and two small pits are likely to be middle/late Bronze Age and late Neolithic/earlier Bronze Age in date respectively. The features and finds are described and discussed in their regional context.
