Abstract:
The mosaic room forms part of a mid-4th century unit, together with courtyard and renovated bath-set. The mosaic is in two parts, one triconch in shape, the other rectangular. The figure at the centre of the triconch square is probably Apollo, not Orpheus, although accompanied by a dog and fox, and the triconch area was possibly a triclinium for ritual banquets in Apollo's honour. The surrounding figures are acceptably identified as Seasons. A T
